Annual Fundraiser Schedule:
Wednesday, April 17th -
Silent auction items open for bidding (continuing through Thursday, April 18th and Friday, April 19th)
Saturday, April 20th -
Dress is your best roaring 20s garb and head to the car museum
Silent auction bidding continues during the morning/afternoon
5:00pm: Event starts -doors open for walking tours around main building of the Gilmore Car Museum, balloons, and other games go live for purchases
6:45pm: Dinner
8:00pm: Silent auction ends, Detroit Lions raffle, and live auction begins
9:00pm: Dancing DJ the Hurricane (ending at 11pm)
Accommodations: Room block set up at Gull Lake View Villas for our guests. Special nightly rates of $200 per villa. Each villa has 2 bedrooms, 2 standard beds per room, 1 bathroom per bedroom, living room, small dining area, and full kitchen. The check-in time will not be until 4 pm for anyone who is only staying Saturday night. To reserve the villas, you need to send in the request via email or call (269) 841-4508. A GLV representative will confirm the reservation via phone and take credit card information.
Free Shuttle Service!
OLF wants to keep everyone safe from drinking and driving. Three Bird's Limousine service will be picking up guests from the Gull Lake Villas at 4:30 pm and bringing them to Gilmore Car Museum. Shuttle service will be available all night throughout the entire event to take anyone home that would like a ride. The last load to the Villas will be at 11:00 when event is over.
About Us
The O'Leary Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to the support of programs in human services, education and health care initiatives that offer significant, potential support for individual development and community enhancement.
The foundation was started by Muriel & Bob O'Leary's five children after Muriel passed away in April, 2002 and then Bob, just 15 months later in July, 2003.
Muriel's career as a Registered Nurse spanned over 36 years. She then continued her work in serving her community as a County Commissioner for the next 16 years. Bob's career as a teacher and coach lasted for 15 years. Bob then went on to become a top salesman in the mobile home industry selling furniture and carpet for the next 25 years. They weren't wealthy, but they were powerful, they had a voice! They taught us how to be strong and help people, to be part of the solution, and part of the CHANGE. The biggest lesson was how to love your neighbor, even if you didn't know them.
Every year we now hold an annual fundraiser called "A Night Out with Muriel and Bob" to continue their legacy of community service. This year is our 22nd annual event, WOW!
